In summery weather (26 degrees) was held in Regensburg, the Savings Bank gala, which offered to many athletes an opportunity to the limit for the European Championships in Barcelona to target (not me of course ;-))
The first time I was allowed to participate this year in the main program, which was very well cast. I was assigned to the second series and my motto was - just hang on as long as possible.
The start I could not ideal because I had to start in the second row and the Runner ahead of me to start "verschlafte. So I was a few meters to rearmost in the field and still had to deal with some bump land - until I could run my pace after a round.
It was not easy at the end of such a field to run and I just tried to keep the distance always equal to the runner ahead of me. The third round was 78.8 with a real "Abschiffer" ;-), but I was able to keep pace with a fast last lap to limit the damage and even ran just 8 hundredths slower than my PB from 2008. 4.42.74 I am very satisfied and happy above all - that after such a long time once again could run a good 1500 What I say because the piper tables glandular fever in the last season can not.
I am sure that with a little more "1500m - Training" could be my PB of 4.42.66 in danger ;-)! ....
