"Anything is possible, but you have to believe and you have to fight"

Believe in yourself
A successful weekend is behind me. With ideal "running weather" took place in Bern's Wankdorf the Swiss U23 Championships.

running is a mental sport ....

Saturday just before 5:30 was the start and we made the rounds of 5.12, which lay before us. The favorites did from the beginning to the pace and it was already pretty high, so I've decided not to go, but to run my pace. To my advantage that I already could see after a few rounds and some of the high speed run with no more. Sun I could catch up, overtake and ran a steady race. After 8 rounds, I knew the third rank is to secure - and oriented myself, only forward. The second place was closer, but I no longer had the necessary strength to catch up. I was behind Céline Hauert and Jasmin Widmer, third - and was overjoyed! It was my second 5000m, he was tough, there are many rounds, it can happen, it is challenging his own limits and at the end you're just happy - if one is aim!
But the feeling is great, if you know all the many hours of training have paid off - thanks for the support

the only tactics I admire what do or rang the
Sunday

The alarm clock at 7 and the first thing I thought was "Oh ....." Sch - My legs felt like a kilo of lead, but a lot of time thinking about did not. Get up, shower and have breakfast immediately - roll with some honey. Over 1500m I was in fact still signed, but not to run both on the ground, I could not decide until the deadline. But what I have to lose now already-simple "gring surface Seckle u" - that is then somehow! In the head it must be true ....
As I stood at 11.45 at the start line, I thought you - now give again all - you can do that - you I manage this ranked me third place, behind the favorites - which after 2 rounds really pushed the pace and I could not keep up anymore, because the 5000 was still somewhere in the legs ;-)! The fourth runner
pinned down close to my heel - my only thought - a tiger in NZ haunts me (in the target came into my mind, there are no tigers in NZ) I'm just - I ran the whole race in third place - so I am now third! Up to 250m they followed me - so I gave at the end again easy gas and made it to third place with 4 sec. Advance!
I was overwhelmed - it was just awesome ... because I knew - my legs are not running the race - no it was my head! It was my attitude - fight to the end, it pays off.

Every morning in Africa a gazelle wakes up.
She knows that she must run faster than the lion to survive.
Every morning in Africa a lion wakes up.
He knows that he must run faster than the gazelle, not to starve.
Whether you are a lion or a gazelle - when the sun comes up, run for your life!

It was a brilliant weekend! I would like to thank my friends, Laufgspänlis, coaches and parents for their support! Grazie mille * ....* Puffo

will next weekend I deny my last race of the season - the squadron SM, in which I will start in team 2, it is also the last race in Switzerland .... its to March ...
